What is a slug?
When you first create a location, you will enter a slug to associate with it. Think of the slug as a username for this specific location, similar to a Twitter handle. You can’t have the same handle as anyone else, and Ticki is no different.
Are there rules for creating a slug?
There are a few rules. Your slug has to be between 4 and 8 characters and must be unique. If any other location (including ones that don’t belong to you) has the slug you input, Ticki won’t let you use it.
What is the slug used for?
This slug is going to be used for your customers to reach your Get a Number page. This is where they’ll be able to apply to get a ticket for your location. If you ever update your slug (not recommended), be sure that your customers know the new one so they can still get tickets.
